Palamu, 20 August (HS). On the call of Jharkhand Animal Husbandry Department AI Employees Union, AI employees of Palamu district went on strike from Tuesday regarding their demands. Due to this, the work of the offices got affected. The employees sat on dharna with placards in their hands. The dharna was chaired by the district president of the union, Ajay Pandey and was conducted by Sachin Pandey.
On the occasion, Ajay Pandey said that till the government does not meet the demands of AI employees, the strike will continue in solidarity. Through the strike, the workers demanded from the government that the honorarium of AI employee should be fixed on the basis of minimum wages and outstanding amount should be paid from 2019, preparation of rules for AI employees working in the Animal Husbandry Department for years and issue a priority list, regularization of AI employees on class III and IV vacant posts in the Animal Husbandry Department on the basis of seniority and qualification, simplifying the system of timely payment of the current honorarium amount and incentive amount, payable insurance benefits, etc.
