In its report, Meta had mentioned several editing apps that were not safe and were available on Google Play Store. Most of these were photo editing apps, which were used to improve photos. Many users have downloaded these apps to upload them on social media, which can prove to be quite harmful.

Talking about these photo editing apps, 16 of them are from China. The government has also banned hundreds of Chinese apps in India since 2020. There are dozens of apps on Google Play Store like BeautyPlus- Easy Photo Editor, Beautycam, Selfie Camera- Beauty Camera & Photo Editor, B612- Beauty & Filter, Sweet Snap, which have millions of downloads.

Delete this app from your phone immediately.
Google has also released a similar report, in which it has issued a warning saying that there is a risk of sending malware to the phone through these photo editing apps. These apps are very harmful for users. However, Google took action and blocked these apps from the Play Store. However, many users had unknowingly downloaded these apps on their smartphones. In such a situation, they should immediately delete these apps from their phones.

Keep these things in mind while installing the app
Security agencies also often issue such warnings keeping in mind the safety of the users. In such a situation, some things should be kept in mind while installing any app on the phone.

If you are also installing a new app on your phone, then first of all you should check the reliability of that app. Most of the genuine apps are verified by Google Play.

However, many apps bypass Google Play's security and appear genuine. In such a situation, users should avoid giving full access to any app installed on the phone.

Do not give any permissions to apps on the device unless necessary. Doing this will make it difficult for hackers to tamper with the smartphone.
