Learn from lemon juice: Pour the juice of a lemon into a glass bowl and add some tea leaves. If the lemon juice turns yellow or green after a few minutes, then it is real. If the tea leaves are fake, then the lemon juice turns orange. Only then will you be able to differentiate between real and fake.
Identify by leaf color: Real tea leaves are green, red and black in colour; fake tea leaves may be light or dull in colour.
Identify by the color of the water: Adulterated tea leaves have adulterated colors added to them. To identify the tea leaves, dip them in cold water. If it leaves any other color, then it is assumed that the tea leaves are fake because real tea leaves leave color only after boiling in water.
