Infosys co-founder N.R. Narayana Murthy said on the population explosion in the country that Indians have not paid attention to population control after the crisis. He called the increasing population a big challenge for the country.

At the convocation of Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in Prayagraj, he said that India is facing challenges related to increasing population, per capita land availability and health facilities. If Indians do not pay proper attention to population control after the crisis, there is a danger of our country becoming unstable. Whereas in countries like America, Brazil and China, per capita land availability is much higher.

Professional people contribute to the progress of the country

Narayana Murthy appealed that all professionals should contribute to the progress of the country. Such contribution depends on satisfying high aspirations and dreaming big and working hard to turn them into reality. One generation has to make many sacrifices to make the life of the next generation better. My parents and siblings as well as teachers made significant sacrifices for my progress. My presence here as the Chief Guest shows that this sacrifice has not gone in vain.
