Katihar, 19 August (HS). Doctors and paramedical staff of Katihar Railway Hospital protested on Monday against the brutality done to a female doctor in Kolkata. The protesting doctors were led by ACMS Administration of Railway Hospital Dr. Dayanand Singh and Senior ACMS Doctor Pawan Kumar. All the doctors took out a foot march in the railway colony and appealed to the government for justice. All the doctors participating in the protest march were carrying black badges and poster banners in their hands.
On this occasion, Dr. Pawan Kumar said that it is the government's responsibility to protect doctors. But instead of implementing any strict law and order in this direction, the government has only given assurances. Every time doctors become victims of violence. Dr. D.N. Singh said that when will action be taken against the culprits. He said that when the doctors themselves are not safe inside the hospital, then how will the common citizens be safe.
All the protesting doctors said that it has been decided to continue the protest until their demands are met. On this occasion, along with Railway Hospital doctor Pawan Kumar, doctor DN Singh, doctor Sourav Kumar, doctor Ajay Kumar, doctor Gaurav, doctor R Meena, doctor A Das and many paramedical staff were present.
