Bokaro, 19 August (HS). An inter-state coordination police meeting was held on Monday at Mirdha's Zaika Resort of Pindajoda police station to conduct the upcoming assembly elections in a fear-free environment. SDPOs, Deputy SPs, level officers of Purulia and Bokaro districts participated in it. In this regard, Praveen Kumar Singh, Chas Sadar SDPO said that this inter-state coordination meeting has been organized as per the orders of the top police officer appointed for the assembly elections, so that mutual coordination can be done in the light of the upcoming assembly elections.

Its main objective is to conduct elections in a clean and fear-free environment. Sadar DSP said that six inter-state check posts will be activated to curb and control inter-state criminal activities. This will curb the movement of illicit items, illicit liquor, and illegal arms during the elections. Bokaro and Purulia police have exchanged the list of warrants and absconders so that we can arrest them under coordinated efforts. Singh said that in the light of the DGP's order regarding the arrest of warrants, 42 criminals have been arrested in the district so far.

The inter-state police border meeting was chaired by Praveen Kumar Singh, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Chas. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer Raghunathpur of Bokaro's border state West Bengal (Purulia) and Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Purulia, Jhalida and other police officers of Bengal participated in this meeting.

From West Bengal: Gaurav Ghosh – Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Jhalida, Rohed Sheikh – Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Raghunathpur, Mrs. Shashwati Sweta Samanta, Deputy Superintendent of Police, P.N. Sanjay Singh, Police Station Incharge, Baghlata, P.N. Ashokataru Mukherjee, Police Station Incharge, Purulia Mofussil Police Station, Bapan Mandal, Police Station Incharge. Police station in-charge Pada and Sudeep Chakravati-station in-charge Santhaldih were included.
