Due to the last day of Shravan month along with Rakshabandhan and the last Monday, there was a lot of hustle and bustle in the markets as well. From early morning, people started thronging Shiva temples for the Abhishek of Lord Shiva. People prayed to their deity in many ways and wished for happiness and prosperity.
On the last Monday of Shravan month, a flood of devotees swelled in all the major Shiva temples of the pilgrimage town. Long queues started forming outside the Shiva temples since early morning. People prayed for happiness and prosperity by performing Jalabhishek. There was a huge crowd in all the Shiva temples of the pilgrimage town including Shri Daksheshwar Mahadev Temple, Daridrabhanjan, Dukhbhanjan, Tilbhandeshwar, Vilvkeshwar, Gaurishankar, Neeleshwar, Janmasa. In view of the huge crowd in the Shiva temples, the police administration had made tight security arrangements in the Shiva temples.
