On this incident, former Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot posted on 'X' and wrote, 'The incident against nature with a 3-year-old innocent girl in Jodhpur is shocking. People are very angry with this incident. Such incidents are creating an atmosphere of fear among the people of Rajasthan. Due to lack of trust in the government and police, criminals have become fearless. Incidents of firing, robbery, murder and acts against women are increasing in Jodhpur. Law and order has collapsed. I have requested Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma several times that you should take necessary steps immediately to stop crime in the state.'
Rajasthan Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara also reacted to this incident. He posted on Twitter and wrote, 'The brutality done to an innocent girl in Jodhpur is a stigma for the society and the system. Those who committed atrocities should be given severe punishment. Law and order has completely collapsed in Rajasthan, there is no trace of women's safety. Such incidents in Jodhpur, Barmer, Pali, Nagaur, Jhunjhunu and Alwar have shaken the common man.'
The girl was sleeping with her mother outside the temple. Then the accused kidnapped the innocent girl. When the woman selling grass reached there at around 6 in the morning, she came to know about this matter. Then she informed the family about it. The girl was found unconscious, bleeding from her body and there were bite marks on her lips. As soon as the information was received, the police and FSL team reached the spot and when the nearby CCTV footage was examined, it was found that the accused was seen carrying the girl in his lap. After this, the police traced the accused and arrested him.
