In May-June 2021, she remained silent when rape complaints were suppressed in Bengal's police stations.

- Sandeshkhali Rape Case (2020): In October 2020, a minor girl was gang-raped in Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district. There was a lot of uproar in the entire state regarding this case and because the case happened before the 2021 assembly elections, it was heavily politicized before the elections.
- Sakhali rape and murder case (2022) : In April 2022, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in Hanskhali in Nadia district. The incident sparked an uproar with allegations of political influence in shielding the culprits.
- RG Kar Medical College Rape Murder Case (2024) : In August 2024, a young female doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College Hospital in Kolkata. The case sparked widespread public outrage, leading to widespread protests across the state. Doctors across the country not only protested but also went on strike against the allegation of rape and murder of a junior doctor. After the order of the Kolkata High Court, the case is now being investigated by the CBI and it is feared that more accused are involved in this case.
