Slight rise in stock market amid fluctuations, Sensex and Nifty slipped from upper levels | News India

New Delhi, August 19 (HS). The domestic stock market is seen trading with a slight increase amid fluctuations during the early trade on Monday. Today's trade started strongly. However, as soon as the market opened, buyers and sellers started trying to dominate each other, due to which there was continuous fluctuation in the movement of the stock market. After the initial 1 hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.09 percent and Nifty with a strength of 0.18 percent.

After the first 1 hour of trading, among the stock market's big stocks, shares of Hindalco Industries, BPCL, ONGC, Shriram Finance and LT Mindtree were trading with a strength of 2.84 percent to 1.75 percent. On the other hand, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra, Grasim Industries, Apollo Hospital, Tata Consumer Products and Axis Bank were seen trading with a decline of 1.69 percent to 0.97 percent.

Till now, there was active trading in 2,173 stocks in the stock market. Out of these, 1,784 stocks were trading in the green zone by making profit, while 389 stocks were trading in the red zone by suffering loss. Similarly, out of 30 stocks included in Sensex, 17 stocks remained in the green zone with the support of buying. On the other hand, 13 stocks were trading in the red zone due to selling pressure. While out of 50 stocks included in Nifty, 29 stocks were seen trading in the green zone and 21 stocks in the red zone.

The BSE Sensex opened today with a gain of 243.41 points at 80,680.25 points. As soon as the trading started, there was a tussle between the bulls and bears in the market, due to which the movement of this index also started fluctuating. With the support of buying, this index jumped to 80,724.40 points, while due to selling pressure, it also dived to 80,447.45 points. The matter of relief was that this index remained in the green mark continuously. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at 80,512.60 points with a gain of 75.76 points.

Like the Sensex, NSE's Nifty today started trading with a gain of 95.20 points at the level of 24,636.35 points.

As soon as the market opened, buyers and sellers started trying to dominate each other, due to which the movement of this index kept fluctuating continuously. With the support of buying, this index jumped to 24,638.80 points, whereas due to selling pressure it fell to 24,566 points. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at 24,584.45 points with a gain of 43.30 points.

Earlier, on the last trading day of last week, on Friday, the Sensex closed at 80,436.84 points with a gain of 1,330.96 points or 1.68 percent. At the same time, the Nifty ended Friday's trading at 24,541.15 points with a gain of 397.40 points or 1.65 percent.
