What should be kept in mind while washing baby bottles?
Pediatrician Dr. Tarun Anand recently shared a video on his Instagram and gave information about what things should be kept in mind while cleaning the baby's feeding bottle.
1). Washing with soap and water
According to Dr. Tarun, the bottle should be washed with soap and water immediately after feeding the baby. Doing this helps in properly cleaning the milk residue on the bottle. Apart from the baby's milk bottle, it is also important to wash the lid and nipple after each feeding. Washing all the parts of the bottle separately removes the dirt thoroughly and the bottle becomes clean every time.
2). Use a brush
To ensure that no dirt or milk accumulates on the sides of the baby's feeding bottle, always use a special brush to clean it. Dr. Tarun says that today there are many brushes available in the market that are meant only for cleaning baby's milk bottles. The brush helps reach all the corners of the bottle, reducing the chances of contact with germs. You can use a silicone or plastic brush to wash the baby's milk bottle.
3). Soak in warm water
If you feel that some kind of residue has accumulated on the baby's milk bottle after feeding and it is not getting cleaned properly with soap and brush, then soak it in warm water. Soaking the milk bottle in warm water for 10 minutes will dissolve the dirt and when you brush it, the dirt will come off completely.
4). Dry in open air
Dr. Tarun says that many parents feed their baby immediately after washing the milk bottle. Doing this is absolutely wrong. It is necessary to sterilize the baby's milk bottle after washing it. Not only this, after sterilization, the bottle should also be dried in open air. If you feed your baby with a wet bottle, it can cause bacteria and infection.
5). Steaming to sterilise baby milk bottles, say experts
The best way is to have a sterilizer, but most people don't have one in their homes. In such cases, you can sterilize the baby's milk bottle by boiling it in water for 2 to 4 minutes.
We hope that after reading this article, you will keep your baby's milk bottle clean and germ-free so that he does not fall sick.
