Guwahati, August 17 (HS). ABVP protested in various areas of Guwahati demanding justice for the medical college student. The rape of a student of RG Kar Medical College in West Bengal has created a stir in the whole country. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today protested near Maligaon, Arya Nagar and Downtown University in Guwahati.
These crimes have once again exposed the hollow nature of women's safety, especially in West Bengal. ABVP workers today demanded justice from the government in Guwahati to provide justice to the medical college student and to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
The protesters strongly condemned the incident and demanded punishment for the victims and also criticised the West Bengal government. They also demanded immediate resignation of Mamata Banerjee, who has taken moral responsibility for the incident.
