Along with this, Rs 6,190.01 crore was spent in the second phase, which helped 6,40,823 farmers. In this way, agricultural loans worth more than Rs 12,150 crore have been waived so far and if Rs 5.6 thousand crore more is added, then loans worth about Rs 18 thousand crore are being waived.
Loans of more than 22 lakh farmers waived off
Under this scheme, lakhs of farmers in Telangana state have been benefited so far. If the third phase is also completed, then the loans of more than 22 lakh farmers will be waived. In this way, the government treasury will be burdened with about Rs 18 thousand crore. However, under this scheme, only a maximum loan of Rs 2 lakh will be waived.
