LPG Price: Only a few days are left for the festival of brother and sister, Raksha Bandhan. Last year, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Prime Minister Modi had reduced the price of gas cylinders by Rs 200. It is often seen that on the occasion of this festival, big announcements are made by the government for women in different states of the country. UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given the gift of free travel in buses to women on the day of Raksha Bandhan. Apart from this, the Madhya Pradesh government has made a big announcement related to LPG cylinders. The women of MP will get direct benefit from this from the government.
What is the announcement of Madhya Pradesh government?
It was just a few days ago when Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had said that LPG cylinders would be given for Rs 450 under the 'Laadli Behna Yojana'. CM Mohan Yadav had said that 40 lakh Ladli sisters of the state who have gas cylinders under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) and non-PMUY will be given gas cylinders at the rate of Rs 450. Under this scheme, the beneficiary sisters are also given Rs 1250 every month by the government. But this time the Chief Minister has said that instead of 1250 rupees, they will be given Rs 1500. That is, Rs 250 more than every time.
Gas cylinder prices reduced by Rs 200
Earlier in the year 2023, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had given a big gift to all LPG customers (33 crore connections) in the second term of the government. Under this, the price of LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 200 per cylinder. After this decision, the price of 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi came down from Rs 1103 to Rs 903.
After this, on the occasion of Women's Day on 8 March 2024, the Modi government again announced a reduction of Rs 100 in the rate of cylinder. In this way, the rate of LPG cylinder in Delhi came down to Rs 803. The beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana are given a subsidy of Rs 300 by the government. In such a situation, the effective rate of this cylinder for them comes down to Rs 503.
