Shimla, August 15 (HS). The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and gaiety at the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Shimla today. Chief Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao hoisted the national flag and inspected the guard of honor. High Court judges Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Vivek Singh Thakur, Ajay Mohan Goyal, Jyotsna Rewal Dua, Satyen Vaidya, Sushil Kukreja, Ranjan Sharma, Bipin Chandra Negi and Rakesh Kainthala were present on the occasion.
Justice P.S. Rana, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Human Rights Commission, former High Court Judges K.C. Sud and V.K. Sharma, Advocate General, Senior Advocates and Members of Bar Association, Registrar General, Registrars, Judicial Officers and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. Officers and staff of High Court Registry, Shimla District Court, Advocate General's Office, Assistant Attorney General of India, Himachal Pradesh Judicial Academy, State Legal Services Authority and other staff of High Court participated in the celebration of Independence Day function.
