Government at your doorstep: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Today is the second day of the party in Jalandhar. Yesterday I reached Jalandhar and listened to the problems of the people under Aapke Dwar.
While interacting with the people, the Chief Minister said that the aim of this unique initiative is to provide convenience to the people. He said that now the governments are not running from Chandigarh but from cities and towns across the state. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that now the officers are going to the villages and resolving the complaints of the people, whereas earlier people had to make rounds of government offices.
The Chief Minister said that he has kept his residence in Jalandhar so that the people of Majha and Doaba region can do their work without any problem. He said that it is a matter of great pride and satisfaction that all the work of the people who are coming here with complaints is being done smoothly. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this scheme is giving satisfactory results and while on one hand the problems of the people are being solved, the government is also getting feedback.
Meanwhile, a woman from Ludhiana appreciated the unique initiative of the Chief Minister. She said that her case was pending for years as no previous government took the trouble to get her work done. She said that now the Chief Minister has listened to her patiently and has given necessary instructions to complete her work.
Sukhwinder Kaur, who had come to meet the Chief Minister, said that this is a commendable step to remove the difficulties of the common man. She said that the Chief Minister has given necessary instructions to the officials to complete the work as soon as possible. She said that this initiative of the Chief Minister is unprecedented because no other leader had even thought of it.
Another woman Jasveer Kaur of village Kot Kalan said that her husband had died a few years ago and since then her in-laws were harassing her mentally. She said that she had met the Chief Minister, who had given necessary instructions to the officials for quick resolution of her problem. She said that this initiative of the Chief Minister is proving to be a boon for the people of the state, especially the common man.
During this, a youth Jagdish Singh who met the Chief Minister said that his father was a soldier who became disabled due to an accident during service. He said that his father was forcibly retired, after which he is seeking a job on compassionate grounds. He said that the Chief Minister listened to everything he said sympathetically and assured to resolve his case on priority basis. He said that this is a good initiative which is ensuring the welfare of the common man.
