New Delhi, August 14 (HS). The men's selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced the teams for the first round of the domestic tournament Duleep Trophy. This time international players of the Indian team will be seen playing in the Duleep Trophy.
Indian team's star players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammad Siraj, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Sarfaraz Khan, Rituraj Gaikwad, Mayank Agarwal, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shivam Dubey, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar will play the tournament. Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah are not playing in the current season of Duleep Trophy.
Team A announced for the Duleep Trophy will be led by opener Shubman Gill. Team B has been captained by Abhimanyu Easwaran, Team C by Rituraj Gaikwad and Team D by Shreyas Iyer.
The board said that the players selected in the Indian team for the upcoming home test series against Bangladesh will be replaced by other players. Also, the availability of Nitish Kumar Reddy will depend on his fitness. This tournament is starting from September 5. This time the matches will be played in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru, Karnataka.
