Congress MLAs meet Eknath Shinde: Very little time is left for the Maharashtra assembly elections. This election can be held in the month of October or November. Now Congress can get a big setback before the assembly elections. Late on Tuesday night, two Congress MLAs reached to meet CM Eknath Shinde. Now after their meeting, speculations have gained momentum that both these leaders can change sides. The names of these two MLAs are Hiraman Khoskar and Jitesh Antapurkar. Both reached CM residence Varsha Bungalow. Both met the CM late at night. Congress votes were divided in the Legislative Council elections held a month ago.
Action against MLAs who cross voted
Senior Congress leaders said that action has been taken against the MLAs who did cross voting. In such a situation, the parties have indicated that these MLAs will not get tickets in the next elections. In such a situation, it is believed that due to the fear of ticket being cut, both these leaders can enter Shinde Sena. Jitesh Antapurkar is an MLA from Deglour seat of Nanded, while Hiraman Khoskar has been elected MLA from Igatpuri in Nashik. Antapurkar is considered close to BJP MP Ashok Chavan. Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan left Congress and joined BJP before the Lok Sabha elections. Then Antapurkar's name was in the news. There was a discussion that Antapurkar would also leave the party.
Both the MLAs gave clarification
However, both the MLAs have clarified on this and said that we have no plans to change party. We had come to seek help for our areas. Antapurkar said that we had a meeting with Chief Minister Shinde regarding the e-Pak inspection report. Antapurkar said that during heavy rains in 2023, farmers in Deglore and Bilori suffered heavy losses. But they have not received help yet. For that I met the Chief Minister. Farmers growing cotton and soybean get Rs 5,000 per hectare. This assistance is marginal and has not been received yet. Antapurkar said that he met the Chief Minister for this reason.
Igatpuri MLA Hiraman Khoskar has also told about his meeting with Shinde. He said that there were works of two or three students. The social welfare account is with the Chief Minister. So I went to meet him. He also reacted to Shinde's talk of going with Shiv Sena. He expressed confidence that I will stay where I am and will get 100 percent ticket. He was asked whether your party seniors had any idea that you would meet Shinde. I go to every minister for funds. I also went to Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
