'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' has been running for 16 years and Gurucharan Singh has been a part of the show since its first episode. Gurucharan played the role of Roshan Sodhi till 2012 but when he tried to talk about his contract in 2012, he was replaced without informing him. He came to know about this when he was watching the show with his family.
Gurucharan said that the star cast of the show is like his family. 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' is like my family because if I did not consider them my family, I would have told them many things by now which I did not do. In the year 2012, they replaced me, although I did not leave the show.
