Dhaka: Bangladesh's caretaker Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus today visited Dhaka's iconic Devi Dhakeshwari temple and assured Hindus gathered there, saying, “Give us a chance, you will have no reason to complain.” Everyone has equal rights in our country.

In Bangladesh, major efforts are being made against the continuous attacks on Hindus in the last few weeks. At that time, the Nobel Prize winner had specially visited the Dhakeshwari temple to meet the Hindus gathered during the Aarti at the temple of Goddess Dhakeshwari Mata in Dhaka. This temple is considered the national temple of the country. Yunus, who reached this temple on Tuesday, also asked everyone to be patient.

Professor Yunus told Hindus: Everyone has equal rights here. We are all one and we have the same rights. No one should discriminate between us. Help us. Be patient, think and decide what we have been able to do and what we have not been able to do. If we fail, criticize us.

Mohammad Yunus further said: To fulfill our democratic aspirations, we should come together not as Muslims, Hindus, Christians or Buddhists but as human beings. The rights of all have to be ensured. Actually all these problems have arisen due to the breakdown of the institutional system. This needs to be removed.

At this time, officials of the temple management board and Hindu leaders were also present. Yunus also talked to them. Legal advisor Asif Najrul, religious affairs advisor Khalid Hussain, Puja Industry Council President Vasudev Dhar and General Secretary Santosh Sharma were present with Professor Yunus. Prof. Yunus was thanked for coming to Vasudev Dhara temple.
