SGPC elections: A delegation of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee led by Chief Commissioner Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami met Election Commissioner SS Saron demanding to ensure registration of eligible Sikh voters in the general elections of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and to do the task in a transparent manner.
Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami handed over a letter to Justice SS Saron and asked him to take seriously the matter of government officials ignoring the rules while casting votes and casting wrong votes without verification and demanded action against the culprits.

He said that ensuring voter registration as per the rules of management of the Sikh organisation Shiromani Committee is the primary duty of the Gurdwara Election Commission and the Commission should pay utmost attention to the objections and concerns of the Sangat.
Through the letter to the commissioner, it was also demanded that orders be issued to ensure access to Sikh and Sidd voters and to verify the identity of each voter and vote only with his latest photo form.
