Dhamtari, August 13 (HS). People are immersed in the devotion of Bholenath during the month of Sawan. Chants of Har Har Mahadev and Bol Bam are resonating in Shiva temples everywhere. Different programs are being organized by the temple committee and other organizations. At some places the story of Shiv Puran is being told and at some places a procession is being taken out. Similarly, a grand Palki Yatra was taken out by the Mahakal Bhakt Parivar, in which hundreds of devotees participated. The Palki Yatra started with great pomp from Vindhyavasini Temple and concluded after reaching Nageshwar Temple Risaipara.
In the month of Sawan, different programs are organized every Monday in Nageshwar temple. Apart from Bhandara Prasadi, other programs have also been organized. On the fourth Monday, prasadi of Puri Sabzi was distributed in the morning. A grand Palki Yatra was taken out in the evening. On the lines of Mahakal, this second year, the Palki Yatra reached Nageshwar temple via the main roads from Vindhyavasini temple. It started at around seven o'clock after worship at Vindhyavasini temple. Hemraj Soni participated in the worship. The Palki Yatra was going on slowly and ended at around one o'clock in the night. Bholenath's Maha Aarti was also performed at Ghadi Chowk. In which many people including Vishwajeet Singh Kridatta, Vikrant Sharma participated. Devotees kept dancing to the tune of DJ and Dhumal throughout the way. Devotees kept dancing to the tune of Lord Shiva for about half an hour at Makai Chowk. People welcomed the Palki Yatra at various places. The family members of Bhajan Karra welcomed the Palki Yatra near Shahanshah in Golbazar. The palanquin procession reached Nageshwar Mahadev temple via Rambagh, Sadar Bazar, Kachhari Chowk, Chameli Chowk, Math Mandir Chowk, Golbazar, Makai Chowk, Ratnabandha Chowk, where Mahaarati was performed late at night. Pt. Ajay Dubey, Raunak Thakur of Mahakal Bhakt Pariwar, Rahul Sahu, Harsh Mishra, Ratnam, Arpit, besides Waqar, Mujeeb played an important role in the palanquin procession. A large number of Shiva devotees including Govardhan Hinduja, Meghraj Singh Thakur, Yashwant Kaushik, Sanjay Chandrakar, Bhura Gwal, Bhajan Karra, Shyamu Yadav, Raja Thakur, Shweta Thakur, Anuradha Gwal, Santoshi Thakur, Jyoti Gupta, Usha Kaushik, Santoshi Kaushik, Asha, Usha Mandavi, Shanti Kaur, Suman Sonwani, Kshama Gupta, Bhagwati Yadav, Kala Sahu, Nishi Thakur, Shreya Gwal, Shivani Gwal, Shreya Gupta, Neha Thakur, Aman Thakur were present in the palanquin procession.
