The market opened with gains on Tuesday. Then at 3.30 pm the market closed in red. Sensex closed down 722 points at 78,926. While Nifty closed down 206 points at 24,140 points. The market fell due to selling in banking, energy and mid-cap and small-cap stocks. Buying was seen only in the stocks of consumer durables sector. Investors have suffered a loss of Rs 4.50 lakh crore due to the fall in the market.
Stocks are falling rapidly
Hindustan Copper was among the stocks that were bought in the market today, which closed with a gain of 3.37 percent. Apart from this, Balram China closed with a gain of 3.28 percent, Aurobindo Pharma 3.01 percent, Dixon Technology 2.76 percent, Marico 2.47 percent, TVS Motor 2.24 percent, Titan Company 1.89 percent, Apollo Hospitals 1.34 percent. Among the stocks that declined, Aarti Industries closed with a fall of 15.45 percent, Chambal Fertilizer 7.08 percent, Zydus Life 5.99 percent, HDFC Bank 3.28 percent, Tata Steel 2.37 percent, Bajaj Finance 2.02 percent, SBI 1.97 percent, Tata Motors closed with a fall of 12 percent.
