Lucknow: Under the 'One India-One Ticket' initiative, ticketing facility will now be made available on IRCTC platform for NaMo Bharat trains. NCRTC and IRCTC have signed an MoU to promote the 'One India-One Ticket' initiative, which will improve the travel experience for passengers on Indian Railways and NaMo Bharat trains. A unique QR code will be generated for each NaMo Bharat train ticket, which will be printed on the railway's Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS).

How to book Namo Bharat tickets?

This ticket will be valid for 4 days around the travel date. While booking a train ticket, if any RRTS station is nearby, a popup prompt for Namo Bharat ticket booking will also come automatically. Every passenger will have a dedicated QR code for Namo Bharat train ticket on the train ticket. Namo Bharat tickets can be booked through IRCTC platforms (train, air, bus, chatbot, etc.). Along with this, passengers are being provided with an easy process for ticket cancellation and payment of tickets.

Initiatives to improve passenger experience

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) have signed an agreement to improve travel experience for passengers of Namo Bharat Trains on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor through 'One India-One Ticket' initiative. The Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project, implemented by NCRTC in the National Capital Region, is a new, high-speed, high-capacity, comfortable passenger service connecting regional hubs in NCR. Currently Sahibabad-Modinagar North section is operational and work is underway to connect other cities with Delhi.

Each ticket will have a different QR code

The agreement aims to provide a seamless travel solution for passengers by making it easier to use both Indian Railways and RRTS services. After booking IRCTC train e-tickets, passengers will now be able to book Namo Bharat train tickets for up to 8 passengers simultaneously as an add-on service. The RRTS booking option will be displayed on the PNR confirmation page and can also be accessed from the user's train ticket booking history. A separate QR code will be generated for each RRTS ticket and will be easily printed on the Electronic Reservation Slip (ERS).

Tickets will be valid for 4 days

The QR codes will be valid for a total period of 4 days, one day before the RRTS travel date, on the travel date and two days after the travel date. Each passenger will get his/her Namo Bharat ticket with a dedicated QR code on the train ticket, ensuring a hassle-free travel experience. All Namo Bharat tickets booked for the same train ticket will be for the same origin and destination station for all passengers.

Tickets can be booked 120 days in advance

The special thing is that now Namo Bharat tickets can also be booked up to 120 days in advance at the existing railway reservation window (ARP). On successful Namo Bharat ticket booking, users will receive confirmation via SMS and email with separate RRTS QR code details sent to the registered mobile number and email address. The fare of Namo Bharat train ticket will be easily collected using online payment methods available on the IRCTC platform as well as IRCTC convenience fee (Rs 5 + taxes).

Full fare will be refunded in case of ticket cancellation

In case of ticket cancellation by the user, the entire RRTS fare will be refunded, while IRCTC convenience fee, payment gateway charges and related taxes will not be refunded. Users can easily scan their RRTS QR code at the station entrance using the ERS or mobile app to log in and travel as per the booked journey details.
