Namo Bharat Rapid Rail: Preparations to run Namo Bharat train from Duhai to Modinagar North station of Ghaziabad have intensified. Safety inspection of the second section has reached the final stage. Earlier the train was to be run till Meerut South station, but it will take time to complete the construction work of the station. In such a situation, now preparations are being made to run it only on the 17 kilometer long corridor till Modinagar North Station.
CMRC may give approval to run trains on the second section this week. Namo Bharat train is currently being run for passengers on a 17 km long section from Sahibabad to Duhai depot. This section has Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot stations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the first phase in October. At present, the trial of the train is going on from Duhai to Meerut South station. The second section is 25 kilometers long. This section has Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North and Meerut South stations. Both Muradnagar and Modinagar stations are ready. Work is going on at a rapid pace on other facilities including the entry and exit gates of the station.
Safety inspection in final stage: The fitness of the train equipment was tested during the trial runs. In this section, trains are running at different speeds throughout the length. Train signalling, platform screen door (PSD), overhead supply etc. are being tested. No flaws came to light during this period. At present, railway safety inspection is going on on section two. It is expected to be completed in two to three days.
Preparation to run train on second section in 8 to 10 days: After completion of railway safety inspection, approval to run trains on the second section may be obtained this week. After this the date of inauguration will be decided. Keeping this in mind, ANISRTC has started preparations. Sources said that it will be inaugurated within 8 to 10 days.
Three thousand people are traveling every day: The train is being operated on the primary section of RRTS since October. Trains are running on this section from 6 am to 11 pm. About three thousand passengers are traveling in the train every day. The number of passengers will increase after the train runs till Modinagar. After Ghaziabad, Namo Bharat will run in Meerut. After this it will operate in Delhi. At present, construction work is going on at a rapid pace in Meerut and Delhi. Metro will also run on rapid track inside Meerut city. Meerut Metro has reached Duhai depot.
The train will not run today or tomorrow
Namo Bharat train will not run for passengers on Saturday and Sunday. The operation of trains on the primary section will be completely stopped. The signaling of the primary segment is being linked to the secondary segment. Due to this, the operation of trains has been stopped. Trains will start operating for passengers at the scheduled time on Monday.
Prime Minister can inaugurate
Prime Minister Narendra Modi can also inaugurate the second section of Namo Bharat. Preparations are also going on for the arrival of the Prime Minister. In view of this, a few days ago Meerut Commissioner Selva Kumari J had also inspected Duhai depot. It is being told that soon government and NCRTC officials may also come here to inspect the corridor. About three thousand passengers are traveling in Namo Bharat train every day.
Will run in 17 kilometer long section
The distance from Duhai to Modinagar North Station is 17 kilometers. Next to this is Meerut South Station. NCRTC had earlier planned to run trains only up to Meerut South station, but there are very few trains left at that station. In such a situation, the train can now run till Modinagar North station. Trains will run on all seven stations of the district in the second week of March. In this way, it will start running on a total of 34 km long corridor in Ghaziabad.
