Ramgarh, August 12 (HS). Doctors and the government are once again face to face in Jharkhand. This time the fight is being fought over biometric attendance and cross verification portal. On this issue, Indian Medical Association official Dr. Thakur Mrityunjay Kumar Singh said that the state government is adopting a dictatorial attitude and doctors are being harassed unnecessarily. Biometric system was opposed 1 year ago and continues even today. Doctors are associated with emergency services. There is no limit to their time and work. Apart from this, internet network, server and electricity are very necessary for the system through which attendance is being talked about. 40% of the doctors in Jharkhand are posted in remote areas and there is a huge lack of network there. Due to which those doctors will have to face this problem.
Clarification will be given through cross verification portal
Jhasa's state vice president Dr Sharad Bhardwaj said that the cross verification portal created by the state government is also going to be a big headache for doctors. Under this, doctors will have to give direct explanation. Despite Sunday being a holiday, messages were sent to many doctors for not making attendance. Action will be taken under this. Till the action is not completed, the salary of the doctors will also remain stopped. In such a situation, the doctors of the state will have to spend more time in paperwork and internet work than working. The government has been given an ultimatum till August 20. If this system is not withdrawn, then the doctors will take the path of agitation.
Salary order based on biometric attendance is wrong
Dr Sharad Bhardwaj said that in three districts of the state, it has been announced that doctors will be paid salaries based on biometric attendance. This order has been issued directly from the treasury on the instructions of the DC there. Along with doctors, half-month's salary of paramedical staff and employees working on contract basis will be deducted.
The officials of Indian Medical Association and Jhasa have strongly reacted to the rape and murder of a female doctor while on duty in West Bengal. In a joint meeting, the officials have said that the West Bengal government should arrest all the accused within 48 hours and give them the death penalty. If the four accused are not arrested within 48 hours, there will be a movement across the country.
