Bhopal: Chief Minister led the Tiranga Yatra in an open jeep, people aged between 8 to 80 years participated in the Yatra | News India

Bhopal, August 12 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav led the state-level grand Tiranga Yatra on Monday in an open jeep. Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang and MP VD Sharma were also present. Olympians Vivek Sagar and Aishwarya Pratap Singh also participated in the Tiranga Yatra. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the Yatra by hoisting the national flag, the pride of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honored bronze medalist Indian hockey team midfielder Vivek Sagar and Olympian and Arjun Awardee shooter Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar.

During the yatra, the CM rode ahead in an open jeep holding the tricolour in his hand. Many youths also rode bicycles and on foot. The drizzle of the monsoon season did not dampen the enthusiasm of the people; people kept singing and dancing to the tune of DJ. The yatra concluded at 12 noon on platform number one of the main railway station. Chief Minister Dr Yadav was accompanied in the Tiranga Yatra by Mayor Malti Rai, Additional Chief Secretary Smita Ghate Bhardwaj, Sports Director Ravi Kumar Gupta, Sumit Pachauri along with school children, college students, youths and players and coaches.

The Chief Minister encouraged the youth in a track suit

Seeing Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in a track suit during the Tiranga Yatra, there was an unexpected enthusiasm among the people including school children, college students, players and coaches present at the venue. Everyone was overwhelmed to see the Chief Minister dressed in it to instill enthusiasm in the youth.

Enthralled with patriotic songs

Singer Sunil Shukraware and his team lit up the stage during the Tiranga Yatra. The entire region was filled with the spirit of patriotism due to their passionate patriotic songs. They filled the youth with enthusiasm by singing songs like 'Mera Rang De Basanti Chola…', 'Meri Aan Tiranga Hai Meri Shaan Tiranga Hai Meri Jaan Tiranga Hai…', 'Dil Diya Hai Jaan Bhi Denge Ae Watan Tere Liye…', 'Maa Tujhe Salaam…', 'Ab Ke Baras Tumhe Dharti Ki Rani Kar Denge…', 'Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo…', etc.

Youth thrilled to see Olympic medal

On the request of Minister Sarang, Olympic medalist Vivek Sagar showed his medal to the youth and motivated them. Seeing this, the enthusiasm and zeal of the young players was palpable. This effort of Minister Sarang to attract the youth towards sports will bear fruit.

Salute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and other guests paid homage to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose by garlanding his statue installed at Prabhat Square. Souvenirs were presented to the guests.

People from all walks of life participated in the Tiranga Yatra

The Tiranga Yatra started from near Subhash Nagar Bridge. It concluded near Bhopal Railway Station. Meanwhile, the grand Tiranga Yatra was given a grand welcome at more than 100 places. Schools, colleges, social institutions, social organizations, citizens, shopkeepers, residents, everyone welcomed the Yatra by showering flowers and garlanding it. Even heavy rain could not stop the Yatra which started with drizzle.

Players on the go

Players also participated in the Tiranga Yatra on foot and bicycle. The enthusiasm of school children on both sides of the Tiranga Yatra route was worth seeing. They created an atmosphere of patriotism by chanting slogans like Vande Mataram, Jai Hind and Bharat Mata ki Jai.

Minister Sarang said that 8-year-old children along with an 80-year-old elder participated in the Tiranga Yatra. He said that to make independence permanent, it is necessary that the youth should have love for the country. Such programs inspire the youth to love the country and feel patriotism. When our soldiers serve the country by standing in the rain in Kargil and can remain deployed for the safety of the citizens of the country even in minus degrees in Siachen, then the youth of the country should take inspiration from them.

Sarang said that lakhs of people have participated in the Tiranga Yatra. By remaining disciplined, the citizens have made the Tiranga Yatra successful by maintaining its dignity and respect. He said that the youth should always be ready to protect the country. He said that seeing the patriotic spirit of everyone in the Tiranga Yatra, it seems that anyone will be forced to think a thousand times before raising their eyes towards us.

Indian shooter Aishwarya Pratap Tomar told the youth that ups and downs keep happening. Set a goal and keep trying to achieve it. This time we have won medals in 3 events in the shooting competition, next time our shooters will bring at least 10 medals. Indian hockey player Vivek Sagar said that after Tokyo, he will make the country proud by winning bronze in Paris and gold in the next Olympics.
