COVID-19 is now spreading rapidly among wild animals: A few years ago, the corona virus wreaked havoc all over the world and caused many deaths. Now the SARS-CoV-2 virus that spreads COVID-19 has moved from human settlements to the jungle. This virus has been found in many wild animals. Transmission has been seen up to 60 percent in some species. This is a warning to the world.

Humans can spread this virus up to twice

More than 800 animals brought from the forests were sampled. All of them were kept in rehabilitation centers, from where they were treated and released back into the forest. Six different species of animals were found that showed antibodies that may have arisen after infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is not clear when they got infected. Most of the infected species are from North America. However, there is no evidence of re-infection in humans. Viral antibody levels have also been found to be three times higher in areas where there is more human activity around forests. Humans can spread the virus twice as much. Cases of infection from animals to humans are very rare.

Symptoms are not seen in all wild animals

Wild animals that have been found to carry the virus include cottontail rabbits, raccoons, eastern deer mice, Virginia opossums, groundhogs, and eastern red bats. Not all wild animals have been found to have the virus or its symptoms. If larger carnivores eat or prey on these smaller animals, the risk of its spread may increase in the future.

Mutant viruses can attack humans again

Humans were saved from this virus due to vaccination but now this virus is spreading towards the forest. Its new mutation is happening inside animals. Because their host is new. In future, this mutant virus can attack humans again in new ways.

The level of destruction could be even more dangerous

Scientists have warned that all countries and governments should constantly monitor the evolution of the COVID-19 virus and its transmission so that the pandemic does not spread again. If this happens, the level of devastation this time can be even more dangerous because the level of mutation cannot be determined.
