The month of Shravan is going on and a bad news has come from Jehanabad in Bihar. A major accident has happened during the Shravani fair. It is being told that at least seven devotees died due to stampede in the temple. While many Shiva devotees have been injured. Six women and one man are said to be among the dead. The accident took place in Siddheshwarnath temple of Jehanabad-Makhdumpur. The injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital for treatment. As it was Shravan Monday, a huge crowd had gathered in the temple premises.
In the month of Shravan, a large number of Shiva devotees come to offer water to Baba Siddheshwarnath temple. Due to it being Monday, the crowd increases. In view of this, a crowd of people gathers to offer water from Sunday night itself. The same thing happened this time too. Devotees started gathering outside the temple from Sunday night itself. The accident happened around one o'clock in the night. It is said that while climbing the hill, there was a stampede and chaos on the stairs. Devotees started running to save their lives. Those who fell while running did not get a chance to stand up. During this, many people got injured. The injured have been admitted to Jehanabad Hospital and Makhdoompur Referral Hospital. Where the doctor declared 7 people dead. It is also being said that the death toll may increase.
Let us tell you here that earlier this accident happened in Sultanpur of Vaishali district during the Kanwad Yatra on 5th August. A DJ trolley involved in the Kanwad Yatra going for the Jalabhishek of Lord Bholenath came in contact with a wire carrying 11 thousand volts of current and 9 people died a painful death in this incident.
