fear of crop failure

There is a possibility of damage to crops due to rain. Due to this, ripe mustard crop as well as wheat and vegetable crops can also be damaged. Agriculture expert Dr. According to Baldev Singh, wind and rain can cause damage to those wheat crops where farmers have irrigated. Rain will increase moisture and there is a possibility of crop failure due to weakening of the roots' grip in the soil. This may also affect the yield. Due to strong winds there, the possibility of 'yellow rust' disease spreading from one place to another increases. However, till now 'yellow rust' disease has been found on wheat crop at some places in Ropar. The mustard crop may suffer the most damage. Mustard has ripened in many places in Punjab. Falling and spoiling of seeds due to strong wind can affect the production and quality of mustard. Vegetable crops can also be damaged due to hailstorm.
