150 pilgrims from Junagadh will hoist the flag at the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev on Monday

Junagadh News: Every year in the month of Shravan, the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Mahadev flag hoisting ceremony is organized by the Bholenath Group of Junagadh city on Bija Monday at Bar Jyotirlinga by the pilgrims. Under this, yesterday about 150 prospective devotees have left from Junagadh Bhootnath Mahadev temple. The yatra will hoist the flag of Somnath Dada on Monday.

City advocate Ashwin Maniyar said that many service works are done by Bholenath Group. Works like Annkshetra Gau Raksha Abhiyan are done through this group. In which every year a padyatra is also organized from Junagadh to Somnath. Under which today at 12 noon, about 150 devotees started padyatra from Bhootnath Mahadev temple to Joshipara and its surroundings.

After a night halt at Mendara, the padyatra will depart from Junagadh city in the morning and will reach Brahma Samaj at Janladhar on Saturday afternoon. After this, they will take a night halt at Umareti village. And by Sunday evening, they will reach Devadhi Dev Mahadev Somnath and offer a flag to Somnath Mahadev. Wherever the pilgrims stop on the way, they will complete the journey with Batuk food and Bhajan Kirtan on the tune of Bam Bholenath.
