Raid in Hotwar Jail, Khaini and many other items recovered

Ranchi, August 10 (HS). A raid was conducted in Birsa Munda Central Jail, Hotwar on Saturday morning under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha. According to the information received, this was a regular monthly inspection in the jail. During this, all the wards and barracks were thoroughly checked. Police-administrative officers and police personnel thoroughly checked every ward and cell inside the jail.

During the raid, Ganja, Khaini, Gutkha and a pen drive were recovered. Legal action is being taken on this and a case is being registered. Apart from this, no other objectionable material was recovered.

During the raid, kitchen, hospital, visiting room, playground, library, yoga/meditation centre, dairy, soap making unit etc. were also inspected.

The raiding team along with SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha included Superintendent of Police (City) Rajkumar Mehta, Sub-Divisional Officer Utkarsh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prakash Soy, Executive Magistrate Sanjay Kumar and 200 police personnel.
