Made Rajasthan number one in the country in corruption, crimes against women, rape of small girls etc. Rajasthan lagged behind in implementing government schemes due to nepotism and corruption. The public has definitely suffered loss due to this.
Shekhawat said that under Jal Jeevan Mission, more than 11.5 crore early tap connections were made in the country in the last four years, but despite giving the maximum amount to Rajasthan, the state is at second-third position from the bottom. There is a lot of corruption in that too. In Rajasthan, a connection costs Rs 1 lakh. In Western Rajasthan it works out to Rs 2 lakh per connection. Despite allocating money the previous government could not do the work properly. The Union Minister said that after the BJP government came to power, I sat with the Chief Minister, Ministers and Collectors in Jaipur. Instructed the officials to correct the irregularities in the work that has been done. Whatever work is left, do it quickly. He told that Jal Jeevan Mission is ending this year, hence I also requested the Prime Minister that the complete work has not been done in Rajasthan.
