Fatehabad, March 1 (HS). After tension between two groups in village Chandpura of Jakhal area of the district, Jathedar Sant Baljit Singh participated in the religious Diwan program organized at Daduwal Gurudwara. The villagers were divided into two groups regarding Daduwal's arrival in the village. While one group was saying that Daduwal should not come to the village at any cost, the other group was adamant on holding a religious Diwan program in the presence of Daduwal in the Gurudwara. In view of the tension between the two sides, heavy police force has been deployed in the village for the last three days.
It is noteworthy that like every year, a religious Diwan is being organized in the Gurdwara Sahib of the village from Friday to March 3, in which Jathedar Sant Baljit Singh Daduwal came to participate. The people of the former head of the Gurudwara had warned of strong opposition if Sant Daduwal came here. The police remained on alert mode regarding any untoward situation in the village. Police force remained deployed around Gurudwara Sahib. Meanwhile, the three-day religious Diwan Samagam started in a peaceful atmosphere. During this time, police and administrative officers took stock of the situation on the spot and kept a close watch on the suspects. On the first day of the congregation, a large number of police forces were deployed around Gurudwara Sahib and at main places of the village. Police forces from Jakhal, Tohana and Fatehabad have also reached here under the leadership of DSP Jagdish Kajla, DSP Sanjay Bishnoi and Tohana DSP Shamsher Singh. SP Aastha Modi herself is also keeping an eye on the situation. Although peace was maintained in the village on the first day, police have been ordered to avoid any laxity on all three days of the event.

Recently, the entry gates of Gurudwara Sahib were even locked, but later from Thursday evening, the locks were opened here and people were allowed to enter the Gurudwara premises one by one to pay obeisance.
