SIT formed to investigate land fraud in Ranchi

Ranchi, August 9 (HS). DGP Anurag Gupta has formed SIT to investigate fake cases related to land in Ranchi. SIT will investigate cases related to illegal occupation of land by preparing fake documents or by using force. SIT will review all the important criminal cases related to land registered so far in Ranchi district. The cases on which chargesheet has been filed have also been kept under investigation.

In these cases, the SIT will investigate whether action has been taken against the accused of fraud or not, whether any innocent has been implicated in this case. In those cases related to land in which no criminal case has been registered, the special team will register a criminal case and investigate them. All the police officers of Ranchi district have been instructed to help the SIT and provide all the information to the committee. The special team will also identify the government and non-government employees involved in the team of land fraudsters.

The SIT will also obtain a list of people involved in fake land transfers and their transfers from police officials in the capital Ranchi. A list will be made of the names of people who used force to capture the land, details of their property, etc. If the role of the SHO or other police personnel is found in the land grab, they will also be identified and action will be taken against them.

Seven IPS officers have been included in this team. The team will be headed by CID IG Sudarshan Mandal while JAP DIG Mayur Patel, Special Branch DIG Karthik S, CID DIG Sandhya Rani Mehta, ATS SP Rishabh Kumar Jha, CID SP Anuranjan Kispotta and CID ASP Deepak Kumar have been included as members.
