Farhan Akhtar's film 'Don' released in 2006 broke Shahrukh's image of a romantic hero and gave him a new identity as 'Don'. Both 'Don' and 'Don-2' were superhits. Now Farhan is preparing for Don-3 but it will not star Shahrukh but Ranveer Singh. Meanwhile, Farhan Akhtar recently revealed that Hrithik Roshan was first offered 'Don'. Then how did Shahrukh enter?
In an interview, Farhan Akhtar said, “Hrithik and I became good friends during Lakshya. That's when I gave him the idea of doing Don. I told him that I am currently working on the script and will let you know when everything is done. He also said yes to me, but when I was actually writing the script for Don, it was Shahrukh constantly running in my mind. I have always seen Shahrukh at a party or with common friends. So I saw his personality, intellectual skills, sense of humor, self-pulling. While writing the script of Don, I felt that Shahrukh was perfect for this role.”
Farhan further said, “I had already asked Hrithik for Don. So I called Hrithik and said I am writing the script, I think I should ask Shahrukh for it. To this Hrithik said, don't worry about me, call me. If you think he is right then think about it. This was the greatness of Hrithik.”
