World record created in action against adulteration in Rajasthan

Jaipur, 9 August (HS). A world record has been set in the state for action against adulterators. The Food Safety Department has conducted raids on 2284 shops in two days and destroyed adulterated goods along with other actions. In the two-day food license inspection campaign conducted simultaneously in Rajasthan, a world record has been set by inspecting 2284 food establishments in two days by 98 food safety officers from all the districts of Rajasthan.

Additional Commissioner of Food Safety Department Pankaj Ojha said that 1090 establishments were inspected on 7 August and 1194 establishments were inspected on 8 August and 2284 establishments were inspected in 2 days and notices were issued after investigation. Notices were issued to food institutions for not displaying the food license properly, not following it, finding dirt etc. In this, 57 establishments were found without food license and action was taken against them as well. The organization that makes the world record has also given its consent to register this in its records and has wished best wishes. Soon the organization will provide the certificate of world record to the Food Safety Department; the process for this has been started.
