Dhanbad, 9 August (HS). A forest festival was organized at Silvatand in Tundi block on Friday. Under the Forest Rights Act, forest leases were provided to the residents of Dev Pahad in Tundi block and Pokhariya village in East Tundi block to provide them community rights for forest produce and other activities in their forest area.
Tundi MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato, Forest Division Officer Vikas Paliwal, District Welfare Officer Niaz Ahmed, Block Development Officer Tundi Shailendra Chourasiya, Zonal Officer Jitendra Prasad, Assistant Forest Conservator Officer, Mukhiya and a large number of villagers were present in the program.
