New Delhi: Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray is meeting the leaders of India Alliance in Delhi. After meeting Sonia Gandhi, Uddhav Thackeray met Kejriwal's family. Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar are making strategy in Delhi regarding the assembly elections to be held in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, he also gave a statement about the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Uddhav Thackeray said that PM Modi should do the same thing that Indiraji did to get freedom for Bangladesh in 1971, when atrocities were happening in Bangladesh. When Hindus are being tortured in Bangladesh, it is the responsibility of the Indian government to protect them. This is Modi's. The same Indian government that freed Bangladesh from atrocities should now take action.
Taking a jibe at Modi and Amit Shah, Uddhav Thackeray said that Modi and Amit Shah could not go to Manipur, but if the PM and Home Minister can go to Bangladesh, then they should go there and see the condition of Hindus there. Appropriate steps should be taken for their safety.
In a way, Uddhav Thackeray has challenged Modi and Amit Shah. The challenge that Shiv Sena has given to BJP is being discussed more than the politics of Hindutva in Delhi. In the Maharashtra elections, Uddhav Thackeray will also raise the issue of atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. Remember that the first issue of today on Kashmiri Pandits was raised by Shiv Sena in 1988-89.
