In Dasha, artificial ponds were made at 5 places by the municipality for idol immersion

Dashman festival is celebrated with great pomp in Surat. People bring idols to Dasha and worship them with devotion for 10 days and then immerse the idol. In such a situation, like every year, this year too, an artificial lake has been prepared by the municipality for idol immersion in Dasha in Surat.

In Surat, 5 artificial ponds have been prepared by the Municipal Corporation in different zones for idol immersion. Dakka Ovaro in Central Zone, Ramji Mandir Ovaro in Rander Zone, Lanka Vijay Ovaro in Katargam Zone, VT Circle Sarthana in Varachha Zone-A [हरे कृष्ण डायमंड के पास] And in the eighth zone, Kutrim Lake near Dumas Kandi Palia has been constructed by the Municipal Corporation.

Along with this, the Municipal Corporation has appealed to the people to make arrangements to keep the idols of Mataji in pavilions, courtyards of houses or other areas where there is a Kutrim lake, in order to prevent pollution of the Tapi river and protect the environment. No plan has been made by the Municipal Corporation, appeals have been made to the nearby Kutrims to immerse the idols of Mataji in the lakes only.
