His Holiness Morari Bapu dedicated his nine-day spiritual program at the United Nations (UN) headquarters to the institution and prayed for global peace. After finishing the lecture, he went to the United Nations General Assembly, where he sang a Vedic hymn reciting Goswami Tulsidas' Ramcharit Manas (Ramayana).

May all live happily. Sarve Santu Niramaya: Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu. Ma Kashchit Dukha Bhagbhavet॥

(Om, may everyone be happy, may everyone be disease free. May everyone's life be happy, may no one suffer.)

He named his lecture after Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, the guiding principle of the Hindu Vedic Sanatana Dharma, after which he followed it with Jai Siya Ram. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a Sanskrit phrase found in the Hindu holy book Maha Upanishad and means that the world is one family.

Pujya Morari Bapu organised a nine-day spiritual and historical Ram Katha at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the first of its kind by any spiritual guru. The event was held from July 27 to August 4, 2024.

Hindu spiritual gurus said that the main elements of this discourse were the five elements – sky, water, earth, air and fire.

During this week, Pujya Bapu met UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed, who said, earlier you did rounds of the UN headquarters and now you are at the heart of the headquarters. She said that this scheme has promoted efforts to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Pujya Morari Bapu told her that his platform will always be with the UN program for world peace, world progress and world happiness.

Many years ago, Bapu visited the United Nations Headquarters. He has always stressed that world leaders should put aside their selfishness and try to end the ongoing war between Israel and Ukraine.

Earlier on July 30, several dignitaries attended the lecture, including Commissioner of International Affairs Edward Mermelstein, Deputy Commissioner of International Affairs Dilip Chauhan of the NYC Mayor's Office, and Deputy Commissioner and Chief of Staff Aissata Kamra. The NYC Mayor's Office also bestowed the highest honour on Morari Bapu's Vyasapeetham.

Binaya Srikant Pradhan, Consul General of India in New York, and Surendra K. Adhana, Counsellor and Head of Charity at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, were also guests. The teachings of the spiritual group are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which particularly focus on promoting peace, environmental sustainability and social justice. Pujya Bapu cited the example of Ramcharit Manas.

On the concluding day of the Katha, Pujya Morari Bapu exemplified the characteristics of Ram Rajya or the rule of the ideal king Lord Rama and also explained how his code of life matches with the principles of the United Nations.
