Ahmedabad News: If you are not in the habit of wearing a helmet, then do it now, because from today if you go to Ahmedabad city with a two-wheeler and you or the person traveling with you is not wearing a helmet, Ahmedabad police can take action against you because during a public interest litigation, the High Court has issued a strict order to make helmets compulsory on two-wheelers and has asked for a report on the action taken by the police after 15 days.
The Gujarat High Court heard a PIL. During this PIL, the Chief Justice's bench expressed concern over the traffic problem in Ahmedabad city. Regarding which the Chief Justice said that Ahmedabad city has become like Mumbai, such scenes are seen here till late night. There is heavy traffic on the city roads till three in the afternoon. He also said that most two-wheeler drivers do not wear helmets.
From time to time, the traffic police takes action against those not wearing helmets and provides details. But still two-wheeler drivers do not wear helmets. Therefore, the High Court has given instructions to be strict regarding the mandatory wearing of helmets for the next 15 days. It has also been said that a report should be prepared on what was done in these 15 days and presented to the High Court.
