Meerut, 07 August (HS). The passport of former minister Yakub's son Firoz, who tried to flee abroad by violating the conditions of his bail, will be cancelled. Along with this, the passports of the former minister and his other family members are also being investigated. The police has prepared the file for cancellation of Firoz's passport.
Former minister Yakub and his family members have got bail from the court in the Al Fahim Meatex meat case. While granting bail to the former minister's son Firoz alias Bhura, the court had forbidden him from leaving the country without permission. Even after this, while Firoz was trying to flee the country to Dubai from Delhi airport, he was stopped by immigration officials and handed over to Meerut police. After questioning him, the police released him after he gave a written assurance that he would not violate the bail conditions again. The police had also issued a red corner notice against Firoz. This is the reason why he was stopped at Delhi airport.
