Lucknow, 07 August (HS). The Yogi government is running various programs for the better health of the people of the state. From the rejuvenation of government hospitals to the construction of super specialty hospitals, a large population has been benefited by organizing health fairs. The Chief Minister has directed the Health Department to organize the most important initiative 'Arogya Mela' on a large scale for the next one year. After this, the department will organize more than 1 lakh 72 thousand 'Arogya Melas' in all 75 districts of the state from August 2024 to July 2025. These fairs will be organized every Sunday at more than three thousand primary health centers in the state.
These health facilities will be available in Arogya Melas
According to the health department officials, as per the wishes of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Arogya Mela will be organized every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm at 3,388 primary health centers in the state. A total of 13 to 16 thousand Arogya Melas will be organized every month. In these, along with OPD, specialist doctors will treat diseases like TB, dengue, malaria, brain fever, kala-azar, filariasis and leprosy and will provide health advice related to these.
Director General of Medical Health Dr. Brajesh Rathore said that during this time, information about Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan and golden cards will also be distributed to the eligible beneficiaries. Apart from this, pregnancy and delivery counseling and services will be provided. Along with this, complete vaccination counseling will also be given. Not only this, information and facilities will be provided for the prevention, protection and treatment of diarrhea and pneumonia in children. Along with this, appropriate action will be taken for the treatment of malnourished children by identifying them.
How many health fairs will be organized in which month
The Yogi government will organize 1,76,176 Arogya Melas in all 75 districts of the state from August 2024 to July 25. Of these, 13,552 Arogya Melas will be organized in August this year, 16,940 in September, 13,552 in October, 13,552 in November and 16,940 in December. After this, in 2025, 13,552 Arogya Melas will be organized in January, 13,552 in February, 16,940 in March, 13,552 in April, 13,552 in May, 16,940 in June and 13,552 in July.
