Mumbai: Gold and silver prices again rose in Mumbai's jewellery market today. World market news was showing improvement with falling prices. Gold price in the world market rose from 2377 to 2378 per ounce, highest price from 2418 to 2419 and lowest price from 2391 to 2392 to 2393 to 2394 dollars.
Globally, gold witnessed less buying by funds. Behind gold, global silver prices were at $26.60 to $27.57 and $26.60 to $26.72 to $26.73 an ounce.
Meanwhile, following the global market, the price of gold without GST in the Mumbai bullion market today rose from Rs 68,840 to Rs 68,628 per 10 gram at 99.50 to Rs 68,905, while that of 99.90 rose from Rs 69,117 per 10 gram to Rs 68,904 to Rs 69,182.
Mumbai Silver prices rose from Rs 78,950 per kg without GST to Rs 78,444 to Rs 79,158 per kg. Gold and silver prices in Mumbai were 3 per cent higher than these prices including GST.
In Ahmedabad market, gold fell by 99.50 to Rs 71800 and silver fell by Rs 500 to Rs 80500. In the world market, the price of platinum was between 908 to 923 an ounce and remained at 909 to 910 dollars. Palladium prices fell from 847 and 870 to 852 to 853 dollars. Global copper prices were soft by 0.31 percent today. Meanwhile, crude oil prices in the world market are reported to have risen today after bouncing from the lower level.
Brent crude prices were at $ 75.61 to $ 75.71 after hitting a high of $ 75.75 a barrel to $ 77.85. New demand from China remained slow. As the dollar strengthened against the rupee in the Mumbai currency market today and the rupee fell further, it had a positive impact on the prices of gold and silver.
