Rudraprayag/Kedarghati, 07 August (HS). The havoc of rain in Uttarakhand is not stopping. After the disaster in Kedarghati, the bridge built on the Sonprayag Mandakini river for the Kedarnath pedestrian route was washed away due to rising water level.
District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar said that a foot bridge was built by the Army on the Sonprayag Mandakini river to safely evacuate pilgrims stranded on the Kedarnath pilgrimage route. Due to continuous heavy rains since Tuesday night, the bridge was washed away as the water level of the river increased.
