According to the Hindu calendar, Nag Panchami is to be celebrated on August 9. The Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month will start on August 9 at 12:36 pm. It will end on August 10 at 3:14 pm. According to the Udaya Tithi, the festival of Nag Panchami will be celebrated on August 9.

Nag Panchami Puja Rituals

• The serpent deity is worshipped in a ritualistic manner, in which flowers, fruits, incense and lamps are offered to him.
• On the day of Nag Panchami, donating a pair of silver snakes to a temple is considered auspicious.
• At sunset, cow milk is placed in earthen lamps in the name of the serpent god and placed in temples and corners of houses.
• On the day of Nag Panchami, a statue of snake made of clay and cow dung is worshipped at the main entrance of the house.
• Mantras of the serpent god are chanted.
• Milk and paddy lava is offered to the serpent deity.
