Jabalpur, 6 August (HS). Due to less water inflow in Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi Sagar Project Bargi Dam, its six more gates have been closed on Tuesday evening. Now 69 thousand 712 cusecs (1974 cumec) of water is being released from seven gates of the dam. The average height of all the seven open gates has been kept at 1.93 meters.
According to Executive Engineer Ajay Sure, due to less rain in the catchment area of the dam, the inflow of water has now reduced to 2 thousand 400 cumec. At 5 pm, the water level of the dam was recorded at 421.10 meters. Sure said that the water level of the dam is being continuously reviewed. The amount of water released from the dam can be increased or decreased anytime depending on the inflow of water in the dam.
