Varanasi, 06 August (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Divisional Commissioner Kaushal Raj Sharma on phone on Tuesday morning to get information about the tragic incident of two houses collapsing near Vishwanath Temple. The Divisional Commissioner gave the Prime Minister complete information about the rescue operation conducted by NDRF, fire, police, administration and the treatment of the injured in the hospital. The Prime Minister received complete information about all the people living in the two houses that collapsed at night and expressed his condolences to the woman who died in the accident. The Prime Minister has directed the Divisional Commissioner to provide better treatment to all the nine injured people.
On receiving information about this incident, former minister and MLA Neelkanth Tiwari reached the hospital. He visited all the injured one by one and enquired about their condition. He asked the divisional commissioner and doctors to provide better treatment. He met the families of the injured and assured them that all possible help and help will be provided to them.

Regarding the accident, Divisional Commissioner of Varanasi Kaushal Raj Sharma said that the dilapidated houses of Rajesh Gupta and Manish Gupta in Khoya Gali of Chowk police station area in Varanasi collapsed due to rain. On receiving the information about the collapse of the houses, a rescue operation was conducted and eight people buried under the debris were taken out. The injured have been sent to Shiv Prasad Gupta Hospital in Kabirchaura.
The Divisional Commissioner said that in the entire incident, six people are being treated at Shiv Prasad Gupta Hospital. A child has been sent to the Trauma Centre as his condition is critical. A woman constable deployed for the security of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple has also been injured in the incident, whose treatment is going on. A woman has died.
He said that after the incident, the municipal corporation team has reached the spot to remove the debris. The NDRF team which carried out the rescue operation has completed its work. The Varanasi police which reached the spot has taken over the responsibility to prevent chaos in the area.
