Women wrestlers selected for national wrestling competition

Jhajjar, August 5 (HS). Under-23 wrestlers were selected in Bahadurgarh for the national wrestling competition to be held in Rohtak from August 16 to 18. Olympian wrestler Rohtas inaugurated it by shaking hands with the wrestlers. Haryana Wrestling Association General Secretary Rakesh Koch and his son Bhuvnesh Sangwan welcomed the guests. Faridabad Wrestling Association General Secretary Dheer Singh, Hemkant, Mahavir Malik, Sanjay Umra, Jitendra Dahiya and Rohan Hooda were present during the wrestling competition. Rakesh Koch honored the winning players by giving them certificates.

Rakesh Koch, general secretary of Haryana Wrestling Association, said that in 50 kg category of women wrestlers, Komal of Panipat came first, Praveen of Hisar came second and Priya of Hisar came third. In 53 kg, Hansika Lamba and Sweety of Hisar came first and second respectively, Tamanna of Panipat came third and Aarti Saroha of Sonipat came fourth. In 55 kg, Anjali of Rohtak came first, Pooja Rani of Hisar came second and Sonia of Jind came third. In 57 kg, Reena of Charkhi Dadri came first, Neetu of Sonipat came second. In 65 kg, Anant of Rohtak came first, Swati of Hisar came second, Aashu of Sonipat came third and Khushi of Rohtak came fourth. In 68 kg, Diksha Malik of Bhiwani came first, Varsha of Fatehabad came second, Sanju Devi of Karnal came third and Muskan of Rohtak came fourth. In 72 kg, Sumit of Mahendragarh came first and Tannu Sharma of Hisar came second. In 76 kg, Priya from Jind got first place, Diksha from Hisar got second place, Akanksha from Faridabad got third place and Riya of Sirsa got fourth place.
